This Privacy Policy explains how Chozr (the “App”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you access our website, mobile application, family profile tools, product uploads, and related services (together, the “Services”). The Services are operated by Sealsync.ai (“Sealsync”, “we”, “us”, “our”); the formal operating entity is SealSyncAI Inc., 6 Liberty Square #2634, Boston, MA 02109, United States.

Our goal is to be clear about what information is used to operate Chozr, what information may be visible inside the service, who processes information on our behalf, and how you can request access or deletion of your data.

Chozr is intended for users in the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States.

Account information: your name and email address (provided by you, or supplied by Apple or Google if you use social sign-in), a securely hashed password if you sign up with email, sign-in identifiers from Apple or Google, and an optional profile photo or avatar.

Health and dietary profile information (sensitive): your main health goal, dietary restrictions, allergies (including free-text allergies you type in), and nutrition preferences – and the same kinds of preferences, plus a name and optional avatar, for any family member profiles you create.

Activity and content: your scan history and the personalized analysis generated for you and your family profiles, product comparisons, favorites, product reports (including any free-text description), and the product or label photos and avatar images you upload.

Information collected automatically: when you sign in, we record technical session information including your IP address and device/browser (user-agent) information to operate and secure your account, and we keep operational error logs. We also collect your device platform (iOS or Android) and the country/region from your device locale settings; these are stored with your account and used to format nutrition figures, understand where Chozr is used, and operate the service. The app requests camera access solely so you can scan barcodes and capture product photos. When you install and use the app, our attribution provider also collects install and device information: an AppsFlyer device identifier, your device’s advertising identifier (the IDFA on iOS, only if you allow tracking, or the advertising ID on Android) and its vendor identifier on iOS, device model and operating-system version, IP address, and the timestamps of installs, app sessions and a small number of in-app milestones (such as signing up, finishing setup, completing a scan, comparing two products, and opening the subscription screen), together with any campaign or referral information the app store passes to us.

We use information to provide personalized scoring, support family profiles, display comparison results, maintain accounts, process and manage your Pro subscription, improve product records, prevent abuse, and deliver core Chozr functionality.

We may also use information to troubleshoot bugs, keep the service secure, respond to support requests, and improve the quality and reliability of product-level data shown inside Chozr. We may use your email address to administer your account and, where necessary, to contact you about the service.

We also use information to develop new features, conduct research and analytics, and improve the accuracy of our product data, scoring, and AI processing, as described in “Improving Chozr and Training AI” below.

Chozr uses AI to read ingredient lists, identify additives, assess declared allergen traces, classify whether an item is a food product, and generate the written summaries you see.

To do this, product information (such as barcodes, names, and ingredient and nutrition text) and the product or label photos you upload are sent to third-party AI providers (and associated processing and monitoring tools) that return the analysis. To personalize summaries, your relevant dietary preferences, restrictions, allergies, and goals (and those of your family profiles, including their display names) are included in these requests.

We do not send your account name or email address to these AI providers as part of the analysis. AI providers process this information to provide results to us and handle it under their own terms; AI outputs can vary and may contain errors, so please review the actual product packaging.

To make Chozr more accurate over time, we may use product content – such as barcodes, product and label photos, ingredient and nutrition text, and the analysis results generated from them – to develop, train, evaluate, and improve the AI and machine-learning models and systems that power Chozr.

We may also use information about how Chozr is used, including dietary preferences, allergies, and goals, for these purposes, but only after it has been de-identified or aggregated so that it no longer identifies you or your family members. We do not use your name, email address, or account details to train AI models.

We may create aggregated or de-identified information from the data we hold – for example, trends in which products and ingredients are scanned, or how common certain dietary preferences and allergies are across our community. This information does not reasonably identify you or any family member.

We may use this information for any lawful purpose, including research, publishing insights, and developing new products and services, and we may share it with business partners such as food and cosmetics brands, retailers, and research organizations, including under commercial agreements.

We keep this information in de-identified form, do not attempt to re-identify it, and require recipients not to attempt to re-identify it. We do not sell personal information that identifies you, including your health and dietary profile.

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us operate Chozr, and only as needed for them to perform their function. Aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you may be shared as described in “Aggregated and De-identified Information.”

These include sign-in providers (Apple and Google) when you choose them; our subscription provider (RevenueCat) and the app stores, which receive your account identifier and purchase-related details needed to manage your Pro subscription, and which also forward your subscription events to our attribution provider; our attribution provider (AppsFlyer), which receives the install and device information described above, your Chozr account identifier once you are signed in, and a small number of the in-app milestones listed above so we can measure which marketing brought people to Chozr; third-party AI providers (and the tools we use to monitor and debug that AI processing) that process scan data, uploaded photos, and the profile context described above; and cloud hosting and storage providers that host our systems and store your uploads.

Product-data sources such as Open Food Facts and USDA receive only the scanned barcode (or a product name and brand when searching for a product image), and not your account or profile data. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or Chozr.

Preferences, goals, allergies, and restrictions may be sensitive in context. We use this information to generate more useful scores, improve fit explanations, and make Chozr more relevant to the profiles you create.

This information is used to operate Chozr features and is not shared with other users. If you add family member profiles, you are responsible for the information you enter about other people and for having the authority to do so.

We treat this information as part of your private account experience: we use it to provide and improve the service, and beyond that it is used only in de-identified or aggregated form, as described above.

If you upload product information, packaging photos, or other product-related images, that content may be stored by Chozr and may be shown to other users where the product database or shared product experience relies on those uploads.

By uploading this type of content, you understand that product-facing uploads may be used inside Chozr to improve product records, product discovery, and the experience of other users viewing the same product.

You should only upload content you have permission to submit and that does not violate another person’s rights, privacy, or intellectual property.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at info@chozr.ai. When you delete your account, your personal records – including your profile, scan history, comparisons, favorites, and reports – are removed.

We will review deletion requests and process them in accordance with applicable law, subject to reasonable retention requirements for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute management.

Where uploaded product content has become part of a broader shared product record, certain product-facing content may need to remain in a non-personal or de-identified form to preserve the usefulness and continuity of the product database, but we will address account-linked personal data as part of the request. Information that has already been de-identified or aggregated, and AI models already trained or improved with it, are not affected by account deletion, because that information no longer identifies you.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@chozr.ai.

Chozr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@chozr.ai and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Any information about a minor that appears in a family profile must be added by a parent or guardian using their own account.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, accidental loss, or disclosure. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
