This Privacy Policy explains how Chozr (the “App”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you access our website, mobile application, family profile tools, product uploads, and related services (together, the “Services”). The Services are operated by Sealsync.ai (“Sealsync”, “we”, “us”, “our”); the formal operating entity is SealSyncAI Inc., 6 Liberty Square #2634, Boston, MA 02109, United States.

Our goal is to be clear about what information is used to operate Chozr, what information may be visible inside the service, who processes information on our behalf, and how you can request access or deletion of your data.

Chozr is intended for users in the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States.

Account information: your name and email address (provided by you, or supplied by Apple or Google if you use social sign-in), a securely hashed password if you sign up with email, sign-in identifiers from Apple or Google, and an optional profile photo or avatar.

Health and dietary profile information (sensitive): your main health goal, dietary restrictions, allergies (including free-text allergies you type in), and nutrition preferences – and the same kinds of preferences, plus a name and optional avatar, for any family member profiles you create.

Activity and content: your scan history and the personalized analysis generated for you and your family profiles, product comparisons, favorites, product reports (including any free-text description), and the product or label photos and avatar images you upload.

Information collected automatically: when you sign in, we record technical session information including your IP address and device/browser (user-agent) information to operate and secure your account, and we keep operational error logs. Your device region or locale is read on your device only to format nutrition figures and is not transmitted to us. The app requests camera access solely so you can scan barcodes and capture product photos.

We use information to provide personalized scoring, support family profiles, display comparison results, maintain accounts, process and manage your Pro subscription, improve product records, prevent abuse, and deliver core Chozr functionality.

We may also use information to troubleshoot bugs, keep the service secure, respond to support requests, and improve the quality and reliability of product-level data shown inside Chozr. We may use your email address to administer your account and, where necessary, to contact you about the service.

Chozr uses AI to read ingredient lists, identify additives, assess declared allergen traces, classify whether an item is a food product, and generate the written summaries you see.

To do this, product information (such as barcodes, names, and ingredient and nutrition text) and the product or label photos you upload are sent to third-party AI providers (and associated processing and monitoring tools) that return the analysis. To personalize summaries, your relevant dietary preferences, restrictions, allergies, and goals (and those of your family profiles, including their display names) are included in these requests.

We do not send your account name or email address to these AI providers as part of the analysis. AI providers process this information to provide results to us and handle it under their own terms; AI outputs can vary and may contain errors, so please review the actual product packaging.

We share limited information only with the service providers that help us operate Chozr, and only as needed for them to perform their function.

These include sign-in providers (Apple and Google) when you choose them; our subscription provider (RevenueCat) and the app stores, which receive your account identifier and purchase-related details needed to manage your Pro subscription; third-party AI providers (and the tools we use to monitor and debug that AI processing) that process scan data, uploaded photos, and the profile context described above; and cloud hosting and storage providers that host our systems and store your uploads.

Product-data sources such as Open Food Facts and USDA receive only the scanned barcode (or a product name and brand when searching for a product image), and not your account or profile data. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or Chozr.

Preferences, goals, allergies, and restrictions may be sensitive in context. We use this information to generate more useful scores, improve fit explanations, and make Chozr more relevant to the profiles you create.

This information is used to operate Chozr features and is not shared with other users. If you add family member profiles, you are responsible for the information you enter about other people and for having the authority to do so.

We treat this information as part of your private account experience and use it only as needed to provide the service.

If you upload product information, packaging photos, or other product-related images, that content may be stored by Chozr and may be shown to other users where the product database or shared product experience relies on those uploads.

By uploading this type of content, you understand that product-facing uploads may be used inside Chozr to improve product records, product discovery, and the experience of other users viewing the same product.

You should only upload content you have permission to submit and that does not violate another person’s rights, privacy, or intellectual property.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at info@chozr.ai. When you delete your account, your personal records – including your profile, scan history, comparisons, favorites, and reports – are removed.

We will review deletion requests and process them in accordance with applicable law, subject to reasonable retention requirements for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute management.

Where uploaded product content has become part of a broader shared product record, certain product-facing content may need to remain in a non-personal or de-identified form to preserve the usefulness and continuity of the product database, but we will address account-linked personal data as part of the request.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@chozr.ai.

Chozr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@chozr.ai and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Any information about a minor that appears in a family profile must be added by a parent or guardian using their own account.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, accidental loss, or disclosure. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
